Almost time to go

Well, a few of my plans before my big trip have fallen through. I had planned to ride my motorcycle to Ashville but the weather and other things have made me postpone that trip until the fall which will be better anyway. I have been spending my time doing things with some new friends and also some old friends as well as painting trim, doors, & ceilings in my house. I will be leaving on the 19th of June to spend a week at Dauphin Island to do some deep sea fishing with some friends. Once I get back from there, I will only have a few days to get the van packed for the big adventure. I have made all my reservations at RV parks along my trail. One thing I didn't think ahead on was that I will be in Arizona & Utah in the middle of August. I called someone at an RV park in Utah and asked what the temperature would be that time of the year and she informed me that it would be around 110 degrees. But it's a dry heat so instead of feeling like 125 degrees it will only feel like 110 degrees. It's so dry that I will go as a red grape and come back as a red raisin. She told me that most people do their hiking real early in the morning that time of year so I guess that is what I will have to do and then hide in the AC the rest of the day. Oh well, it should be interesting. I hope everyone is doing well and has a great summer. I will report back after the fishing trip.
